MBIS MBPIS AOM Can CH. Rebel Kokoro No Benwar

"KOKO" is a Multiple Best Puppy in Show Winner, Multiple Best in Show Winner, Multiple Specialty Show 1st Award of Merit Winner, #3 Akita in Canada for 2001 (with limited showing following recovery from surgery), and #1 Akita in Canada for 2002 (as a Veteran).  Bred by Mike & Cindy Gortva (Rebel Kennels), Koko was expertly shown in his early years by our former kennel partner, Danny Benoit (Benwar Akitas) and then, after moving to Ontario in 1997, Koko was both conditioned and handled exclusively by Allan to his top rankings.

MBPIS Can CH. Valamar's Too Hot To Handle

"FIRE" was our 2003 Special and she was a stunning bitch.  Now back with, and owned by, her Breeder, Marianne Southall (Valamar Akitas), Fire is a Best Puppy in Show Winner, Multiple Group First Placer, Multiple Other Group Placements, Canadian Record Holder for highest number of Group Placements in a single show season by a Bitch, Canadian Record Holder for highest number of points (all-breed) for # of Dogs Defeated in a single show season by a Bitch, and #2 Akita (#1 Bitch) in Canada for 2002.

BISS Can CH. Rebel's Ajari of Benwar

 Pictured on the left, "AJ" was bred by Mike & Cindy Gortva (Rebel Kennels) and is Best is Specialty Show Winner and a Multiple Group Winner.  He is the producer of seven (7) Canadian Champions of record.  AJ's superior sidegait and beautiful movement made him an all-time favorite with judges.  A massive dog who was ALL Akita, AJ was shown to most of his wins by our former kennel partner, Danny Benoit (Benwar Akitas).

BPIS Can CH. Benwars Sasha Chiao Lo

"SASHA" was a Best Puppy in Show Winner, Multiple Group Placing Bitch (in VERY limited showing), and producer of three (3) Canadian Champions of record from her only litter.  Sasha was co-owned with her Breeder, our former kennel partner, Danny Benoit (Benwar Akitas) and was superbly handled to her many wins by Danny.



Can CH. Benwars Atarshii Jojun

"TARA" was the fifth (5th) Canadian Champion of record out of her Dam ~ Can CH. Rebel's Katie ~ making her mother a Register of Merit Dam.  Bred by our former kennel partner from when we lived in Newfoundland, Danny Benoit (Benwar Akitas).  A glorious red girl, Tara was a late bloomer who was finished on the tough Ontario Show Circuit.  A pretty, gregarious bitch, Tara will always be remembered for her soundness coming and going, along with her complete and utter devotion to Christine.





Can CH. Benwars If You Could Only See

"SCHEMER" was the third (3rd) Canadian Champion out of her Dam's only litter (Can CH. Benwars Sasha Chiao Lo).  With her level topline, soundness coming and going, and big "bear-like" head, she easily finished her Canadian Championship after we moved to Ontario.  Our Schemer was an absolute "goof-ball", we affectionately referred to her as "the dog with no brain".
