This beauty is our very own Can. CH. Serdess Prodigal Opal (aka Opal). We actually purchased Opal with the specific long term goal of breeding her to Raja. Her Regalia Pedigree is impeccable. She has a solid strong topline and a gorgeous bear-like head, with small dark eyes, not to mention a rear end so strong and correct that it has often been referred to as "piston-like".



Opal's temperament is, quite simply, to die for. She loves all people, yet still controls ALL of the dogs (including the boys) in the kennel like the matriarch of a family clan. Combining her look and the Regalia Pedigree with Raja was almost guaranteed to produce puppies that are future "show stealers".  





Shown only five times as a Special, Opal had two Group Placements and another two cuts in the Working Group on the tough Southern Ontario Circuit. The picture on the left was taken a few weeks after her second birthday.



Now just slightly over 4 years old, Opal was recently spayed due to complications (pyometria) during her last season. She is the mother of our Dolly, Winston and Ripley. Opal is a very beautiful girl who is always fully of energy, loves her stomach, and is an absolute treasure with all people, including kids. Opal is available to that "special" home who understands Akitas, has a fenced yard and absolutely no other animals, as Opal definitely carries a very strong prey instinct.
